Who has sent the Holy Ghost?

John 14:12-26 kjv

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do he shall do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
15 If you love me, keep my commandments.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him; for but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you. and shall be in you.
18 I will not leave you comfortless: because I live, ye shall live also.
19 Yet in a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me;
20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me and I in you.
21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me; and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
22 Judas saith unto him,not Iscariot,Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words; and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him and make our abode with him.
24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings; and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.
25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things,and bring them all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Wow! If Jesus is the truth then this must all be true. We all need comfort sometimes. Jesus said he would pray the Father and he would give another comforter. He knew that he would be leaving the 12 disciples and that they would be needing a comforter. There were conditions that the disciples would have to meet. They must love Jesus and keep his words. Then they would make their abode with them. The Father would send the Holy Ghost and teach them all things and bring to their remembrance all things.

The great question is, Is this true for today? Many say no. Some say that the Bible is the infallible word of God. But that this was just for the disciples. Some people actually believe this can happen to all who believe that Jesus Christ of Nazareth was God who came in the Flesh if they will only ask and keep the conditions that Jesus set forth. How many Christians have really experienced this truth? Are there many people who have experienced real salvation? Do some people have the peace that Jesus speaks of in John 14:27? Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you, Let not your not your heart be troubled,neither let it be afraid.
